Artistic Residency Program
Since 2012 Artistic Residency program runs in Garage throughout the year. Its duration varies between 1 and 2 weeks for each resident artist or group and it focuses on performing and visual arts, training programs, theatre, dance, music and film.
This program, in form of co-production, invites the artists, provides the appropriate conditions and gives them the opportunity to conduct further research on their ongoιng projects.
Artists in residence usually run masterclasses open to the public as well as a presentation followed by an open discussion at the end of the artistic residency.

Iannis Zannos (GR)
Professor of the Department of Sound and Visual Arts of Ionian University
IDE Fantasy is an experimental project where sounds and images are produced by dancers who are based in different cities and communicate with data from motion sensors.
At each performance site, the receiving computer reproduces the programmed sounds and images on the spot.
The dancers' movements are perceived indirectly by the sounds and graphics.

George Nikopoulos (GR)
On November 2015 Garage hosted as part of its Artistic Residency Program, Giorgos Nikopoulos, supporting the research upon his upcoming work "The Peasant and the Ox" ‘The Peasant and the Ox’ was written in 2011 to become animation film. This is a metaphor based on the myth of Midas , which draws on the political and economic situation of the early 21st century.
